## Learning aim
Group four fictional cards and explain the rule you chose. Compare your grouping with a partner's grouping.
## What you need
Four cards labelled A–D, a pencil and this handout. The values below are invented for the activity.

## Try it
1. Choose a rule: color, shape or number.
2. Group the cards using that rule.
3. Tell a partner which feature you used.
4. Try a different rule. What changes?
